Development Code

Clark County is updating its Development Code including ordinances for zoning, subdivision of land, off-site improvements, signs, and other land development related issues or topics, most of which were originally adopted 20 years ago. The goal is to update the regulations to be clear, organized, enforceable, and resulting in development that improves the community.

The Development Code rewrite follows the update of the Comprehensive Master Plan, adopted in November 2021, which established a shared vision for the future of Clark County and goals and actions for achieving that vision. The Development Code rewrite is one such action that will help reach the community’s vision.

On behalf of the County, the project team is being led by Clarion Associates, a Denver-based consulting firm that specializes in comprehensive planning, plan implementation, and drafting land development codes.
